Low-income households – many of Door County’s workers, families and seniors – are among the most at risk of long-term economic harm from the coronavirus pandemic. Even if social distancing restrictions are lifted and businesses reopen relatively quickly, local service group leaders say, these residents could continue to struggle well into the summer.
